"Horlosie" by Vedihka_Writes
In a town called 'losie
live the forever after society.
frozen in time they stay
and only one knows the way.
denizens of eternity
cursed for their hostility.
their lives a frozen mystery
a chilly tale in history.
They say that father time himself once graced their streets.
the icy trees were once crimson as beets.
but no one knows where time himself did flee
for he alone cand set them free.
though centuries hath passed them by
no one recalls how or why.
never to break the silence he said
suppressing even the urge to be dead.
oh, how marvelously he carved this tale!
how beautifully he'd ensured all plans for escape would fail!
for only he can unleash the ice that does preserve
the memories of their actions that they deserve.
many moons from now will they see the sun once more
or perhaps instead, they'll see death's door.
