Time: Part Two by Vedikha_Writes

Genre: Poetry

Sand flows through my hand.

Time passes by in rhyme.

Beat per beat, the minutes repeat.

Moments I remember and their memory laments.

Grand measures of time through land,

Sunlight and sometimes through flight.

The cycle of nature around her,

Nature, a mother and a creator.

The only constant is time.

The only topic in this rhyme.

Minutes have passed.

But moments don't last.

New becomes old,

In a second or two.

What will be,

Is what is,

And it is also what was.

Time is constant.

We are what changes.

Time stands still.

We move.

Time is king.

And we are his subjects.

I am glad I greet you once more,

Oh Lord of Time.

Majestic art thou in your robes,

Of navy, gold, and silver.

The minutes and seconds playing in your courtyard.

Nano and miliseconds asleep in their cribs.

While the hours play chess with you.

At your throne,

Looking out yonder,

A vortex.

A screen.

A portal.

You see us.

As we were.

As we are.

As we will be.

Only you know.
