A huge congratulations to the winners of the April 2025 Writing Contest! The theme was WATER!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the April Flash Fiction and Poetry Contest. I was so excited to welcome some new folks to the contest, as well as our regulars and some folks who returned after several months away.
I love seeing this platform (and these contests) turn into a little community. Even if you didn't end up on the winners/honorable mentions list this month, I hope you will come back. writing is hard, but it is so worth it! The writers who participate in these contests come from all over the world, cross age groups and other demographics, and vary greatly in their writing experience. We can all learn from each other through these contests, by reading and interacting with each other's work. I encourage you to support one another on your writing journeys.
I'll be featuring stories and poems from April's contest during the coming months, but for those posted on other sites, you can find them at the links below. If you participated through Booksie, Wattpad, or Neobook, you can also use the hashtag, #flashfictionfun to find and read one another's work. I really enjoyed seeing how each of you included water in your work, whether as theme, metaphor, plot device, setting, and so forth. I hope you'll enjoy reading each other's work, too!
