The next one-day micro story/poetry contest will be August 2, 2026, at Open Streets: Jamaica Plain.
"She Went into Space" by Su Sefik-Karatepe
She went into space
to search the galaxy
examined the planets.
She felt warm and cozy.
Came back feeling accomplished.
Su Sefik-Karatepe (she/her)
I was born in Boston, and I've always been fascinated with science and space. Both my parents are scientists, and I've experienced so many things about science and space. I live in Connecticut. I'm in 5th grade. Outside of school, I swim and play the violin.
Image Description: An assortment of beakers and glass instruments filled with colorful liquids are arranged on a table. The background is pink and gray-blue.
