Summary of Volume 1

In Black Ice, Oscar Lewis suddenly wakes up with ice powers and an uncontrollable urge to travel towards an untamed wildfire. During his travel, he notices that he can see a spirit world filled with black wispy creatures.

He'll make a few friends – as well as a few enemies – along the way. He has no idea what's happening with him or why he seeks to journey towards the fire.

But there seems to be someone – a lady – he saw the night he awoke with his powers. Who is she?

Summary of Volume 2

Weakened, Oscar sets his sights on a person who may have what it takes to help break him free. O'zani, an aspiring actress, tries to break into the film industry of Ollyopolis.She is loved and supported by her grandmother, June, and her live-in boyfriend, Aodh. Even with love and support, she struggles with her complexion from constant rejection and social criticism. And now something's caught the scent of desperation...

Bradford D. Smith II is a graphic novelist based in Houston who began his career as a background designer for animation. He draws inspiration for his art from the late Akira Toriyama and Hayao Miyazaki. Bradford strives to showcase unique unimaginable worlds and concepts that are paired with relatable life issues.


All in all, Bradford's just a guy that enjoys anime, music, Mega Man, coffee, and gourmet donuts.
