Congratulations to the winners of the July 2025 writing contest! The theme was DISABILITY PRIDE!
Many thanks to those who submitted their work to the July contest! Disabled voices continue to be missing from many spaces -- including reading, writing, and publishing spaces, so I look forward to sharing more from disabled writers next month, including writers from this contest!
The contest results are available below. Those that are highlighted are available to read on other platforms; however, winning works will be featured here in the coming month. If you participated through Wattpad, Booksie, or Neobook, you can also find each other's work from this and previous contests by searching the hashtag, #flashfictionfun.
Contest Results:
- First Place: "The Parking Placard (Black n') Blues: How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love the ADA, Which Just Turned 35" by John Mohler
- Second Place: "Unbreakable" by 000anamika000

Image Description: A blue and white disability access placard with an icon of a wheelchair user and an arrow pointing right is tacked to a post. It is central to the photo. In the background is a blurred row of hedges.
