The theme for our March Writing Contest is AN UNEXPECTED TWIST!
The theme is AN UNEXPECTED TWIST! There's room to "twist" in another genre of your choosing so long as something unexpected, mysterious, or surprising happens. All forms of flash fiction (two-sentence story, fifty word drabble, 280-word twitterature, etc.), short stories, and poems will be accepted as long as they are under 2,000 words. Please note - I do not put an age restriction on these contests. Please refrain from egregious sexual or violent content and let me know if there is an important content warning.

Image Description: A haunting painting of a gnarled three devoid of leaves. The tree is reddish-brown with hints of moss growing on the bark. Teal-green washes out the backdrop. The scene is hazy and slightly blurred.
